Ordering Procedure

We, subject to full payment and the signing of this agreement will order all the required items mentioned in this agreement. You will receive a regular update via email or text to keep you informed of the live order process/remedial items/aftercare/deliveries.

Collection

Our warehouse will contact you upon receipt of all goods being delivered into our Halifax Warehouse to arrange a convenient collection date. Upon collection you, the customer or your 3rd party representative, shall be required to sign in receipt of the goods denoting furniture/appliances are being received free from damage or defects.

Delivery (Subject to payment received)

Upon delivery you, the customer or your 3rd party representative, shall be required to sign in receipt of the goods denoting furniture/appliances are being received free from damage or defects.

The company shall not be liable for any penalty, loss, injury, damage or expense arising from any delay or failure in delivery or performance from any cause at all, nor shall such delay or failure entitle the customer to refuse to accept any delivery under or performance of the contract, or to repudiate the contract.

Any dates quoted or provided by the company for the delivery and/or the works are approximate only although the company shall use its best endeavours to supply the goods and to carry out the works within the time notified by the company to the customer, but time shall never and not be of the essence at any point. The company shall not incur any liability whatsoever for failure to supply or deliver by any given or such date or dates.

In the event that the company is unable to fully complete delivery of the goods as a result of the customer’s actions (or those of the customer’s servants, agents or contractors) or as a result of the customer’s refusal to accept delivery on the date notified by the company to the customer, and as a result the goods are retained and held by the company; the company shall be entitled to charge to the customer a storage charge of £10.00 per day, such charge to be added to the contract price. This charge is to reflect the fact that the goods will have to be retained by the company at the company’s own warehouse/premises, and also that the company will remain liable for the risk in the same until delivery has been effected.

The customer warrants in entering into a contract with the company to ensure that adequate access is available to the premises to enable the company to deliver the goods and for providing a safe means of access from the public highway to the premises. If the customer should fail to adhere to this warranty, the company shall deliver the goods at the closest point of accessibility which shall be determined by the company’s employees or agents at their sole discretion and the customer shall not raise any objection or requisition thereto.

Design check measure

We will carry out a design check measure. This is purely for design purposes. A full site survey must be carried out by a qualified Installer/Electrician/Plumber before ordering takes place to confirm the plan and design will work and be installed without issue

Guarantee

All furniture/worktops supplied by GDK are guaranteed for 5 years manufacturer warranty. This covers you for all manufacturing defects, it does not cover general wear and tear. The guarantee is transferable.

Appliances

Appliances & sinks supplied by GDK carry a manufacturers guarantee. Your guarantee becomes valid upon completion of the manufacturers warranty card being received by the manufacturer. All warranties vary dependant upon manufacturer and range, please ask a salesperson if you are unclear of your warranty.

Interest free credit/standard interest bearing credit

If you have taken out either interest free credit or standard interest bearing credit you are bound by the terms and conditions of the finance agreement you have signed and enclosed within this contract.

5 year credit agreement

Typical Example:-
Cash price £5073.00, 10% deposit £507.30, interest £1075.50, 60 monthly payments of £94.02, 8.9% APR, total amount payable £6148.50.

High Gloss Products

Over a period of time blemishes, markings and scratches may well appear. This is due to the nature of High Gloss fascias, worktops and carcases and is unavoidable. It is not deemed to be a product defect.

Cancellation

Once payment of a deposit or full balance has been paid you, the customer, will have 48 hours to cancel the order. If the order is cancelled after this period no monies will be refunded.

Manufacturing

The configuration and alignment of units and handles is dependant upon the ordered appliances and units depicted in the order.

Delivery Period

Furniture: Allow 6 weeks
Appliances: Allow 6 weeks

All subject to normal factory working weeks, deliveries may vary subject to holidays and stock availability (appliances and other goods)

Remedial Items

Upon receipt of all clean remedial orders into our offices remedial will take the following length of time:

Furniture     Allow 3 weeks
Appliances  Allow 2 weeks

We are a supply only company of kitchen furniture, appliances and lights. In the event remedial items are required the cost of installation of these remedials will be borne by you, the customer. We therefore advise you ask your nominated installer to quote for remediation works

Dry Fit Installation

GDK ‘German Discount Kitchens’ will be offering Installation on all GDK furniture and Appliances supplied by GDK. This offer is only applicable to kitchens sold after 18th October 2009. We withhold the right to terminate this offer without notice.

How The Dry Installation Works

Upon a completed signed contract, GDK will provide you the customer with a ‘Installation Voucher’, this is redeemable only against any accredited installer from the instore ‘accredited installer board’. It is not redeemable against any other installer.

The voucher entitles you to the Dry installation of the furniture and appliances supplied by GDK. It does not cover the cost of electrics/plumbing/3rd party products (i.e. appliances bought elsewhere)/removal of old kitchen or any building works.

Once the installation has been completed to your satisfaction, please sign the voucher and pass back to the accredited installers.

Accredited Installers

GDK is a supply only company of kitchen furniture and appliances as such we do not accept any liability for any works carried out, (or undertaken to be carried out), by the accredited installers, or for any contract or agreement you may have entered into with them. Their accreditation does not mean that we give any specific warranty about quality of their services- simply that they have attended a course which we run.

If for any reason we feel that an accredited installer drops below the high standards we expect from them we will remove their accreditation.
